Treasure Hunt

Parkie and I decided to set out on a small journey to find some Treasure! We both decided it would be smart to bring along Buzz Lightyear for some protection and back up. Now this wasn't your typical treasure hunt, we didn't find gold or silver.  The trek started rocky... literally.  We sat and played with natures finest pebbles for a bit. We then headed through Thorn Valley, it was very dangerous.  Then we saw it, just the kind of treasure we had been set out to find.  Just beyond "Junkyard" Hill was the cutest patch of Califonia Poppys.  Even though it is against the Queens rules, Parkie thought he would become a rebel for once and he picked one. (I think it was Buzz who influenced him.) We admired their beauty for a bit but one of us (not to name names...) started to have a royal meltdown, so we headed home.  All in all it was another magical day.

Whats Done is Done.

I don't have enough energy to explain.  Surgery Cancelled.

Here we go... I hope.

Right now I am bundling up as much Faith as I can for this upcoming week.  Parker's Surgery is scheduled for Friday but we are having some more insurance issues.  We went to his pre-op appt last friday, the surgeon was so kind and he is also praying that this all goes through.  Bobby has been on the phone with the insurance sompany and our "team" all morning.  I am so grateful to have a husband who is a strong advocate for our family.  Bobby never gives up or loses hope, he is such a good example for me.  I am really trying to be positive.

Its going to happen, Its going to happen, Its going to happen... Please...

Projects.

Lately I been collecting alot of "Treasures" from Thrift, Antique and Boutique stores(thanks mom) so it came time to redecorate some areas. I have way more left to do but this is what I have so far.
I love my doll heads!

This is an art project I have been working on.  They are all very old book pages, I have about 5 more but I am still working on them.

Advice?

Ok so I am planning a HUGE party for Parker to celebrate him HEARING/Birthday.  I am at the beginning stages of it and want to make sure it is special.  We are going to have it in Clovis on Saturday June 13th (the day after his birthday) at a good family friends home.  So I kinda have some dilemas.  The guest list so far is about 100 plus or minus people and I have NO CLUE what kind of food to have.  Also, tell me if I am wrong but in the invitation I was going to ask people instead of giving Parker presents they could bring a donation for The CCHAT Fund.  CCHAT is Parkers school he goes to 4 days a week and it is an amazing program.  They have done so much for our family and many other families by teaching these children how to listen, speak and talk. I just thought it would be a good way to show my gratitude to them.

Easter in Auberry

Every year my family gets together up in Auberry for our annual Easter egg hunt at Homer and Marceline's House.  This year was special because it was Parker's first time going.  He had a BLAST!   Homer and Marceline's home is amazing they have a pond, chickens, wild flowers everywhere, the perfect rope swing and they live on a cliff... not a hill... A CLIFF!  It was a fun day with tons of family!

Dress Up Anyone?

When you live in a house full of girls crazy things are bound to happen.  In High School I became very interested in photography.  I loved to create "photoshoots" with my sisters.  I would do their make-up, hair and choose their outfits.  It was so fun to play dress up. I found these pictures on my computer yesterday and about peed my pants! Fun Memories. They were taken about 3-4 years ago, I can't believe its been that long!

I miss my sisters alot.  They are all so much apart of who I am.  Luckily I have a very good memory so when I get down I try to think of our moments together. Whether we're laughing, crying, screaming, or singing I know we will always be there for eachother.

Lauren (20) Looking sassy as always!
Jenn-i-4 (17) She has always been the BOMBSHELL!
Cousin Jordan (18)
Stacey (18) The Silent Heartbreaker!

Sing. Sing a Song!

Oh how I wish I could carry a tune, I wouldn't have to whisper the Hymns during church or worry if a small squeak will sneak its way through my vocal cords.

In my family growing up there was music non stop.  We were always performing something, from making up routines to the Bee Gees, John Denver lyrical routines, ELO concerts in our pj's, singing every Disney song at the top of our lungs and of course Show tunes up the wazoo!  I was always the choreographer/dancer/gymnast, while everyone else sang.

My younger brother Ryan was blessed with the gift of song. He can memorize a song after hearing it once.  Ry has been actively involved in Theatre for 5 years and it fits him perfectly. This month he is performing as Charlie in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  I am so proud of him and hope he continues to grow as a performer.  (I took this video a while ago right before my battery on my camera was about to die so its not perfect but you get the picture. Oh and he doesnt have a lisp its just the horrible audio.)

I give up.

I can't explain the anger and frustration running through my body right now.  So earlier today we got a call from Parker's surgical team advisor... our insurance company put another HOLD on Parker's surgery!! So now we don't know when or if he will get it. I haven't stopped crying since.  I don't understand!  What did we do to deserve this.  We always get so close and then BAM something happends.  I have got to say my faith is really being tested right now.  This has been such a long and hard battle with these people.  Parkers window of success is closing rapidly.  All they see is his name on their file, they don't care. UGH!!  I am so done, I seriously ready to beat some poeple down... OOOOoooo the wrath of this mother is NOT pretty!  I am trying to be strong for my family, but I just want to give up.
