technical difficulties.
I am trying to get a video uploaded... it's not working.
The Hubs is going to look at it tonight.
Yesterday went fantablulous!
Parkie HEARS!
He was pretty comfertable until the audiologist turned it up a little too high.
Then he kept taking the implants off.
(They are magnitized so the just pop off)
I knew it was going to be hard for him.
What a transition.
Our world is SO noisy!
He has worn them all day today.
we have been going around the house discovering funny noises.
He is a big fan of banging pots and pans, and hammering.
Not a big fan of my voice...
hopefully that changes.

WOWOWOWOWOW!!!! i am so so SO happy that it went well!!! prayers continue that all keeps going awesome!!! seriously so excited for parkie and his whole new world!

oh my gosh. i have the hugest GRIN on my face right now! what an incredible time we live in. i can't wait to see that video. he has so much to discover. this is so exciting and happy!
and of course he likes banging pots and pans. what a BOY he is! (the bottle DID say parker, by the way - it's a total sign.) :)

I bet that it's not really "Your voice" as much as it is the fact that noise now comes from you and he isn't used to that. How exciting though.
I couldn't imagine going from a silent world into our world. Everything makes noise, I am sitting in a "quiet" house right now and if you listen closely you can hear a ton of things...the dryer going, me typing, the clock ticking, the dogs breathing. It is a scary loud world out there.
Hopefully he will steer away from the pots and pans and towards your voice sooner rather than later.

Wow thats soo awesome! I cant imagine adjusting from a silent world to our world full of noises in one day, but Parker managed it in a day at the age of one. I'd say you guys did a great job as parents
